Shri. Suryan Subrahmanyan Bhattathirippad is associated with the traditional heritage of Suryakaladi Mana, a historic Namboothiri household in Kerala associated with Vedic traditions, Tantric practices, Mantra Shastra and the worship of Lord Maha Ganapathy.

According to the traditional history associated with Suryakaladi Mana, he was initiated into the sacred traditions of the Mana at a young age and received Deeksha within its traditional framework. At the age of 23, he attained Adideeksha.

His work has been dedicated to preservation and promotion of Vedic rituals, Tantric Kriyas, Mantra Shastra, Mantravadam, temple-centred spiritual disciplines and traditional cultural practices.
